Keeping Up with Kason | Piecewalk

Kason was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in March 2022. What this means for Kason specifically is that he is sensory seeking and mostly non-verbal. He enjoys sounds and movement, which can be displayed through repetitive sounds he makes and constant movement by flapping his hands and jumping. He also has trouble focusing on who is talking to him and looking at faces. Getting his attention and listening to directions is something we work very hard on and have come so far. He understands what is being said to him, but cannot communicate the way he wants or in ways we understand.

The best things about Kason are that he has a sense of humor, is super loving, and can focus deeply on things he enjoys. He loves high fives, swinging, jumping, anything with wheels that he can push around, and being outside.
